Event Details:

1.0  The Victorian Omnium Championship is a single competition
consisting of five events which shall be held on one day in the
following order:
1) Time trial:
   ELiteW: 500m
   MMAS2: 750m
   JM19, EliteM: 1000m
(each time with two riders on the track, seeded before the event
by the Victorian handicapper).
2) Flying 200
(against the clock, seeded from the overall ranking after the Time trial)
3) Scratch race
    (5km)
4) Individual pursuit:
    EliteM: 3000m
    EliteW, JM19, MMAS2: 2000k
(without finals, each time with two riders on the track, seeded
from the overall ranking after the
    Scratch race)
5) Points race:
   EliteW: 10k / 4 sprints
   JM19, EliteM, MMAS2: 15k / 6 sprints

1.1   Any rider failing to attempt to start in one of the events shall
not be allowed to take part in the sub-sequent events but shall be
considered to have abandoned the competition. He shall therefore
figure last in the final classification with the provision “DNF” (did
not finish).

1.2   A cumulative total of ranks obtained in each event shall be
updated in increasing order after each event. The winner shall be the
rider who has obtained the lowest total of rankings.

1.3   Any rider abandoning or being withdrawn from the Scratch Race or
Points Race shall be awarded the ranking of the last available place
at that time plus a penalty ranking of 10 points.

In the case of the Scratch Race, any rider not finishing due to a
fall / recognised mishap, or due to the fact that they can not return
to the track in the final kilometre, shall be awarded the ranking of
the last available place for that event.

1.4   In the event of a tie, the best rider shall be determined by the
lowest accumulated time of the Time trial, Flying 200 and Individual
pursuit events.

1.5   For masters categories, there shall be a minimum of 6 starters.
If less than 6 starters enter the omnium, then the competitors
concerned shall compete in a younger age category.
