Have you ever wondered what it feels like to race around a track, completely free from the noise, pollution and danger from passing cars?
Ever wondered how it feels to ride around banks with angles that seem to defy gravity?
Looking for a style of training that does not impact joints and is suited to people of all ages?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then a Cycling Victoria Come and Try Track Session is for you.
Aimed at persons 13 years and over these clinics allow the individual to experience the thrill of track cycling under the guidance and support of nationally qualified coaches. Try something different, learn new skills, have some fun and chat about it with your friends afterwards.
When: sessions will be held on the following dates -
Come and Try – 5th of March 11am to 1pm
Come and Try – 2nd of April 11am to 1pm
Come and Try – 30th of April 11am to 1pm
Come and Try – 14th of May 11am to 1pm
Come and Try – 28th of May 11am to 1pm
Come and Try – 18th of June 11am to 1pm
Time: 11am to 1pm except the 19th of March 2pm to 4pm
Where: Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC) Indoor Velodrome, 281 Darebin Rd, Thornbury Vic 3071
Cost: Only $25
Track Bikes: Supplied by Cycling Victoria if you don’t have your own!
Helmets: By law you are required to wear a helmet at all times on a bike, the helmet must have the Australian Standard sticker AS/NZS 2063 in tact or you will not be able to wear that helmet.
Clothes: Cycling shorts or pants, no loose clothing, a top with sleeves and runners.
Pedals: Due to time constraints there will be no changing of pedals.
