Cycling Victoria - 2012 Challenge Series

This year Cycling Victoria has implemented timing for all of the events in the Netti Challenge Series. Riders will now receive a timing chip and holder in their participant packs, along with their participant number. The addition of timing chips will allow participants to review their own personal ride time for each course throughout the series. The inclusion of timing is also designed to increase rider safety on course, as it allows the event organiser to determine those riders who are out on course and those riders who have successfully completed the event.

The timing chip will need to be attached to the participant’s bike prior to the start of the event and will be removed by a friendly event volunteer once riders have crossed the finish line. It is important that the timing chip is attached to the bike as per the instructions included in the pack, to ensure that a time is recorded. If a rider misplaces a participant number or timing chip prior to the event, they will need to contact Cycling Victoria to obtain a replacement. Please note that a fee will be charged for issuing a replacement timing chip. ALL riders must have their participant number and timing chip with them at all times during the event
