CV - Road Teams Racing
1/ Teams events are open to CA/UCI licence holders.
2/ The event is open to Teams and individuals.
3/ Teams may be Trade teams, Institutes of Sport, registered teams, club teams or composite teams.
4/ Trade teams, Institutes of Sport and registered teams may enter a maximum of two teams.
5/ Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish.
6/ Clubs with less than 50 eligible riders (or otherwise at CV's discretion) may, upon request, be permitted to enter a combined clubs team.
7/ Teams may consist of a minimum of three and up to seven riders (unless otherwise specified by the event promoter) all entries to be submitted via the teams entry form. (or on-line for individual entries) There will be no late entries or on the day substitution.
8/ CV will form Composite teams from individual entries
9/ Entries must be submitted on official teams entry form, with all details including the managers & sponsors information completed & shall be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee.
10/ Where shops or clubs are entering multiple teams, they are strongly encouraged to use different, distinctive jerseys. All teams must submit their jersey for approval by CV at least one week before the event. If required, CV will provide team jerseys for multiple entries or composite teams.
11/ All teams are must have a non-riding manager who has a current CA/UCI licence. Members of a composite team may nominate a manager, however if they fail to do so, CV will attempt to appoint one.
12/ Team managers shall be responsible for providing licences at registration and pick up and return of race numbers.
13/ Team managers shall be responsible for the distribution of any prize money won by the team members.
14/ The use of radio communication between riders and/or managers is permitted only in teams racing.
15/ Due to the requirements of race permits, only officials vehicles and designated neutral service vehicles will be permitted to follow the event.
16/ Teams are to provide 4 pairs of wheels for distribution among the neutral service vehicles.
17/ Collusion between teams is forbidden as is negative blocking tactics and offenders will be immediately withdrawn and may face further sanction.
18/ Normal road rules shall apply. Crossing the centre line is forbidden and offenders will be withdrawn. If for any reason the use of the full width of road is permitted, riders will be informed by the Chief Commissaire at the pre race briefing.
19/ Teams must have at least 3 riders complete the event to be considered for the teams classification. The teams classification shall be awarded to the team who's leading 3 riders have the lowest aggregate time or highest number of points depending on the results format being used. In the event of a tie, teams shall be separated on the basis of the sum of the placings of their three highest placed riders. In the event that they are still tied, the teams shall be separated by the placing of their best placed rider.
20/ CV may refuse entry as they see fit and along with the Chief Commissaire of the day reserve the right to amend or alter these regulations as considered necessary.
